Laura is taking an Art class in which live models are sketched, often in the nude.
Laura was an intern this last summer for the University Architect/Planning Office at Stanford. They put her to work on Volume 4: Campus Center Exterior Space Plan. She has continued working on this plan on a part time basis during the school year. The Plan covers some 23 acres at and around the Tresidder Student Union. This area serves as a primary point of student interaction at Stanford. What better place to start student demonstrations!
The Plan serves up the history of the architectural changes that were made from the early 1900's on to the current day. Based on several Task Forces and surveys, and Laura's keen eye for design, several proposals are made for upgrading this area. As always on a University, it is one thing to make a plan and quite another to get funding. Still, the Plan Laura put together runs well over 100 pages and will be a primary part of her resume.
